The Conduit Toolbar

Today I tried a new system. It lets you create a toolbar for your browser. One thing that impressed me was that it worked for Internet Explorer and FireFox and runs under MS-Windows and Mac OS/X, but also works beautifully under Linux!!!

Note that SeaMonkey will ask you whether you want to install that software and it will fail since it has some features like FireFox but the installation process is different.

Now, I like the bar for one reason: I can put RSS feeds in there and see it tick. Only problem there, it goes too fast.

They actually have many dynamic features, not just that one: many feeds, menus, video games, radios, the list goes on and on. Feel free to try my bar by clicking on it below. It will take you to the website where you could also create a bar for your own website!

    A GUID is a Globally Unique IDentifier. It is used by objects that need to run on any computer in the whole entire world. It is very likely that, once in a while, two people will generate the exact same GUID, although quite unlikely. Each computer has a network card now and that card serial number is often used as a starting point to define GUID on that computer. GUID were invented by Microsoft for their operating system.
